Our impact on Earth has reached unprecedented levels. Climate change, steady population growth, exhaustion of limited resources and massive waste generation are affecting life on this planet and pose enormous challenges to our society.
We want to protect our environment by conserving resources, recycling materials and reducing greenhouse gases. With the Eco Sealing System, Jaeger lays the foundation for environmentally conscious sealing in the creation of sustainable buildings. By increasing the content of sustainable materials and producing with renewable energies, the Eco Sealing System makes a decisive contribution towards a green future.
The Eco Sealing System provides a sustainable solution for waterproofing in conjunction with tiles and slabs in wet areas. The integration of sustainable materials reduces the carbon footprint of the system components by up to 50%.
The Eco Sealing Membrane is based on a Gen 3 sealing membrane. It is available in the standard version and with lower thickness in the light version. Both versions contain a polypropylene nonwoven and a modified low density polyethylene. The total recycled content is ≥ 60% for the Standard version and ≥ 56% for the Light version.
In addition to the Eco Sealing Membrane, an Eco Sealing Tape, Eco Corners, Eco Wall and Floor Collars, and Eco Waterpipe Flexicollars are available. This provides a convenient system solution for sustainable building design.
The system components are made of materials with recycled and renewable content. The use of sustainable materials contributes significantly to the reduction of the carbon footprint.
We recommend the Eco System Parts in the displayed natural white color. In this way, the carbon footprint is kept to a minimum without adding color. Other color settings are available upon request.
The standard print color for the Eco System parts is black. Other printing colors are available upon request.
Natural resources are conserved by using sustainable materials.
We give plastic waste a new life and use recycled materials in our Eco Sealing System.
The carbon footprint of the system parts is reduced by up to 50% due to the use of sustainable materials.
Jaeger’s Eco Sealing System offers a complete solution for sustainable sealing in building interiors.
Customized print or color batches are available upon request.
The Eco Sealing System is suitable for sustainable building design. Issuance of customized eco certificates is possible upon request.
Why was the Eco Sealing System developed?
The Eco Sealing System was developed to protect the environment (conserve resources, reduce/recycle waste). The system is an innovative, sustainable sealing system with a reduced carbon footprint for sustainable building sealing.
What are the advantages of the Eco Sealing System?
Are the materials of the Eco Sealing System technically equivalent to conventional systems?
Yes, the technical values of the Eco Sealing System are comparable to those of standard waterproofing membranes, with a higher tolerance range for the recycled material.
Is the raw material availability/supply capability for the Eco Sealing System limited?
Under current conditions, raw material availability for the Eco Sealing System is given.
What is the shelf life of the Eco Sealing System?
The Eco Sealing System has a warranty of 5 years from the date of dispatch on all guaranteed product properties. The storage recommendation is at room temperature, stored in a dry place and protected from direct sunlight.
Processing should be carried out within 24 months from the date of dispatch.
How does the Eco Sealing System work?
When installing the Eco Sealing System, the conventional sealing systems can be used as a guide.
Is the Eco Sealing System degradable by type?
The sustainable Eco Sealing system aims at a long-lasting installation situation, ideally degradable by type.
What does PCR mean?
Post-consumer recycled material is generated by households or by commercial, industrial and institutional facilities as the end user of a product and can no longer be used for its intended purpose.
What is PIR?
Post-industrial recycled material is generated as waste during manufacturing processes. This excludes the reuse of PIR materials in the same process that generated them.
What does bio-based mean?
Bio-based materials are renewable raw materials, such as plants or wood.
What is an EPD?
An Environmental Product Declaration is a document that describes the impact of a product on the environment. EPDs are based on so-called life cycle assessments, which list and analyse the environmental impacts of the product over its entire life cycle or part of it.
